I work on memories. Those that keep coming back.
I use some documents (photographic archives, family albums, websites) which are materials at the point of vanishing. At what point does an image become an archive? At which moment does it no longer represent a daily event?
With these tools, the work can begin. First by drawing on a daily basis (notebooks, diary...) and then I paint as a witness of a thought being archived "I consider painting as a way of questionning our relationship to oblivion. The layers are added one after the other in a covering process. "
We will see a link with childhood, the age where fiction is close to reality. The place where ghosts live.
Im influenced by literature. Marguerite Duras get closer and closer to the sea every day. And Claude Simon takes part of this journey too.
